Dear Church Family,
Our January message series, "Live Lighter," has given New Life a great start to 2010! As a church, we are on the brink of experiencing a continual outpouring of divine moments together. Church, together with you, I want stay steadfast in pursuing what God is saying and calling us to do. Last month, we were able to accomplish several things that I believe are just glimpses of what God wants us to do in the future.
First, we blessed Teen Challenge in such an overwhelming way -- Dick Rhodes mentioned that, in 32 years, a church has never blessed their ministry like we did. The following week, we asked you to give toward the relief effort in Haiti via Convoy of Hope, and we rallied together to send $5200! Last week, we set a goal of $40,000 at our Faith Promise Sunday and, again, you responded generously by pledging $40,086!!!
And there is still more. For three Sundays in a row, over 1,000 people have attended one of our services. In addition, we are receiving reports of marriages being restored and spontaneous salvation.
This Sunday, we will begin to address some issues that people don't like to talk about too much in church! I believe God wants to take us beyond the "Barriers" that are in our way so we can continue to experience this season of outpouring. I want to encourage you to come with your heart prepared and ready to be challenged and changed by the power of God.
We will have with us a special guest, Dr. Sam Huddleston, who has inspired people across America and throughout the world by giving them hope for a new beginning. Samuel has shared his testimony with thousands -- government officials, businessmen, college & high school students and prison inmates -- reminding them that, not only with words but also with His very presence, God has the power to put broken lives and broken relationships back together.
Please join us this Sunday at one of our morning services at 9 & 10:30 am. And join us for our evening Heritage Service at 5 PM with special guest, Angela McKeithen!
Beyond the Barriers,

Pastor Mark Tucker |
